Who Am I?
About Me:
Currently working part time doing Architectural Technician work in Crawley while looking for work as a Software Developer after graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Software Engineering.
Favorite Quotations:
“The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need people who can dream of things that never were.” – JFK
“Just pray there’s intelligent life out there somewhere, ’cause there’s bugger-all here on Earth.”
“Its not a perfect world, in a perfect world, evil looses.”
“There are 10 kinds of people in the world: Those who understand binary mathematics and those who don’t.”
Favorite Books:
Don’t get to read anywhere near as much as i would like to (other than text books), but when i do its mostly sci-fi and adventure fiction. Although for some reason I’ve recently got into old classic novels War & Peace, and obscure Russian authors like Dostoevsky and Nietzsche (not sure why but they are fascinating).
Oh and of course Harry Potter is oddly compelling.
Reading the Peter Hamilton’s books at the moment which are epic.
Favorite books of all time would have to be The Mars Trilogy by Kim Stanley Robinson, although the Dune Saga comes a close second.
Favorite Music:
Will listen to almost anything at least once and have very eclectic taste in music and my collection consists of bands like: Nightwish, Dragon Force, Artaria, The Beatles, Queen, Kasabian, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Muse, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Jeff Buckley, Alanis Morissette, Beautiful South, Cowboy X, The Cult, Disturbed, Eurythmics, Explosions in the Sky, Larrikin Love & Louis Armstrong
Favorite Movies:
Too many to list really but will give it a go:
Kill Bill, Fight Club, V for Vendetta, Matrix, Leon, Metropolis, Donnie Darko & Pans Labyrinth (not necessarily in that order).
Sci-fi and headcase films are my real passion and will watch any of them.
Favorite TV Shows:
Not watched TV in what feels like an age but when i do its mostly Discovery channels to be honest, although its near impossible to drag me away from sci-fi shows like Stargate SG1, Battlestar Galactica & Star Trek.
One of the best TV shows of all time i think would have to be ‘Spaced’ with Simon Pegg, although The Big Bang Theory is fighting for this top spot
